Ruffus - Brut Sauvage / per carton of 6 bottles 132,00  EUR

The "Brut Sauvage" cuvée is of the Brut Nature type: Sparkling wine made according to the Méthode Traditionelle where after the second aging of 12 to 15 months in the bottle, no sugar is added. The Ruffus "Brut Sauvage" is ideal to drink as an aperitif.

Vignobles des Agaises, for generations, this plot has been named Terres Blanches.

This wine is cultivated on a typical, exceptional limestone plateau (caused in the Tertiary by the Mons Basin). In fact, this chalk rock formation is identical to the subsoil of Champagne.

Ruffus is the name of the first landowner of Estinnes, the municipality where the vineyard is located. Naturally, Méthode Traditionnelle.

Lemon yellow, clear and brilliant, with fine persistent bubbles. A fresh, lively, elegant, and distinguished nose, with hints of yeast, citrus fruits, and small white fruits. Persistent on the palate, harmonious, aromatic, complex, full of finesse. Perfect balance.

  • Ruffus 'Brut Sauvage' is made exclusively from the Chardonnay grape. This grape yields the best results on limestone soil and can benefit from the exceptionally rich limestone soils of "Les Agaises," the limestone slopes in Haulchin. This gives the wine its minerality and its typical aromas (butter, toast, apple).
  • Without the addition of sugar (0g/l).
  • This Ruffus 'Brut Sauvage' has achieved several awards:
    • Gold at the "Concours Mondial du Vin" in 2008, 2013, 2016, and 2019
    • Chardonnay du Monde in 2023 and 2024
    • Concours des meilleurs vins belges: 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020, 2022, 2023
    • Gault & Millau: 2023, Coup de cœur
