This exceptional cuvée from Clos des Frèr[es] is unique and will only be produced once.
The ‘Grand’ is a composition of four barrels that Jérémy Onde and Erwin Devriendt had set aside over time, from three different vintages: one barrel from 2020, one barrel from 2021, and two barrels from 2022. These barrels were not selected at the time because they were either not yet optimal or did not fit into the right blend for Clos des Frèr[es] or the Passion from Domaine les Ondines. They were somewhat ‘forgotten,’ but nonetheless carefully maintained over the years. In the meantime, the wine has evolved fantastically and reached an elegant maturation. The time had come to blend these numerous ‘forgotten’ barrels into a masterfully refined product. Four barrels were the result, and the wine was exclusively bottled in magnum.
